Why Should You Wear Jodhpurs?

Jodhpurs are designed for comfort and safety.  They have seams which are positioned to ensure they do not rub whilst riding and have knee padding and the seat is designed to provide better grip in the saddle.

What is the Difference between Jodhpurs & Breeches?

Jodhpurs are full length tight fitting trousers that are made from breathable flexible material to help ensure you do not overheat.  They are designed to be worn with either jodhpur boots and chaps or long riding boots.  Jodhpurs are used for everyday hacking, Show Jumping, cross country & dressage.

Breeches are designed to finish mid calf to provide more flexibility within the ankle and are normally worn with long riding boots. The seat patches on breeches are preferred by dressage riders as they provide added security and leg control, where as show jumpers prefer breeches with padding and grip at the knee.

What Type of Jodhpurs?

If you are choosing what type of ladies or children's jodhpurs to buy it will depend on what you are aiming to use them for.

If the jodhpurs are being used for showing, jumping or dressage you will need them to be a neutral colour, the most popular choice would be beige.

How to Choose the Right Size Jodhpurs

Ladies Jodhpurs should be bought by waist size and leg length where the leg should be measured from the crotch to the inner ankle bone, as a guide for ladies short is 27?, regular is 29? and long 31?

Children?s Jodhpurs should be measured as above but typically a Child?s Jodhpur measuring 26? at the waist will also measure 26? at the inner leg.
